No Better Friend

One night, while going through a period of great stress of soul, brought on by a domestic problem, Dr. Weigle sat down at the piano with this thought in mind, “ Jesus knows all about us and he truly cares for us more than any other.” He had a short time earlier walked down to the pier near his home and had for a few faltering seconds thought that he could end his personal torment by jumping into the Gulf of Mexico. Something had stopped him. Now, back at the house, his hands fell on the keys and he began to play and sing. In about twenty minutes a great song was born.

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true.
I would tell you how He changed my life completely,
He did something no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There’s no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me
O, how much He cared for me.

Some of our greatest hymns were written out of times of deep distress and darkness on the part of their writers. Perhaps during such periods a suffering soul draws closer to God and is able to draw tremendous spiritual inspiration from these times of intimacy. The same can be true I your life. Do not despise the valleys in your daily routine, because if it were not for the valleys, there would be no mountaintop experiences. Hold on, because it may be that God is getting ready to use you.

In His time, He makes all things beautiful

In His time, He makes all things beautiful, in His time. Lord please show me everyday, as you’re teaching me your way, that you do just what you say, in Your time.” Further "...You make all things beautiful in your time. Lord, my life to You I bring, may each song I have to sing be to you a lovely thing in Your time."

This song is a good reminder to us all that God is in control of everything. He knows when to give us, and what to give us. The best part of it all is, He gives them all just at the right time. He has done that in the past, present and now, and He’ll continue to do so in the future.

We all have times that we are faced with times that we are troubled. We may be experiencing a financial hardship or sickness. Or we might be just waiting for Gods will to be done in our lives.Perhaps you have heard it said that 'a wine isn't good before it's time.' Or perhaps you may have read that a cheese is to be properly "aged." There are certain things that have to be set aside for a particular amount of time before they are fit to be used.

What does this have to do with mankind?
God gave great knowledge to the author of Ecclesiastes. The third chapter gives us a great insight into the reasoning that God uses when He does the things that he does.
And at a time when David was at a rough time in his life, he wrote "But I trust in you, O Lord; I say 'You are my God. My times are in your hands;'" (Psalms 31:14-15)
Everything is done according to His time and His purpose. When Moses was leading the believers to the promised land, He made them walk through the wilderness for several years. Not because they were evil and had sinned (as we know they did), but because they needed to learn His will and grow to love and appreciate the land that they were to inherit.

The prophet Abraham and his wife Sarah waited 100 years before they were able to have children. Not by their choice but by God's choice and divine plan.
The prophet Job suffered quite an amount of toil and torment that built him to be a more wealthy and godly man. Even Jesus walked in the wilderness for forty days and nights. There He was tempted by Satan to give up His calling as the Messiah and to follow the adversary.

And, lastly, after Jesus was resurrected, he appeared to the disciples to teach. They asked Him when the kingdom was to be restored to Israel. "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority." (ACTS 1:6-8)
All of these are examples of times that men of God (and even God Himself) have been set aside for a better purpose.

So let us be encouraged to remember “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Rom 8:28) And the Lord will certainly work all things well, in HIS TIME. As the 2nd stanza of the song goes, “In Your Time, You make all things beautiful, In Your Time. Lord, my life to you I bring, may each song I have to sing, be to You a lovely thing, in Your Time.”

In need of Groceries

An elderly lady was well-known for her faith and for her boldness in talkingabout it. She would stand on her front porch and shout "PRAISE THE LORD!"Next door to her lived an atheist who would get so angry at herProclamations that he would shout, "There ain't no Lord!"

Hard times set in on the elderly lady and she prayed for God to send her some assistance. She stood on her porch and shouted "PRAISE THE LORD! God I need food. I am having a hard time. Please, Lord, send me some groceries."

The next morning the lady went out on her porch and noted a large bag ofgroceries and shouted, "PRAISE THE LORD!" The neighbor jumped from behind a bush and said, "HA...HA. I told you there was no Lord. I bought those groceries. God didn't."

The lady started jumping up and down and clapping her hands and saying,"PRAISE THE LORD!, He not only sent me groceries but HE made you pay for them." PRAISE THE LORD!

Undefeated

Defeat comes from looking back.
Distraction comes from looking around.

Discouragement comes from looking down
Deliverance comes from looking up.

So, Look over your shoulder to realize how far you have come. Nothing you have done has been a waste of time. Don't measure your success by what others have accomplished.

Your endurance, integrity, faith, love and willingness to grow, is what makes you successful. Even though you have come close to the edge of giving up and believing that you cant succeed, you are still here.

The Jaguar

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and drove the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?" The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry...I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of
his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. "Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice.

The principle part of Faith

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory
by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish,
strengthen, and settle you.

1 Peter 5:10

George MacDonald, a writer whose observations should not be quickly disregarded, once said that “the principle part of faith is patience.” Our first reaction might be to disagree and say that trust is the principle part of faith. But on closer examination, MacDonald does have a point. Every example of faith in the famous eleventh chapter of Hebrews is an instance of someone whose trust in God made him or her willing to work and to wait and to endure hardship. Because it has confidence in God, real faith does not give up. It will hold a steady course for a long, long time.

Sometimes we grow impatient because we have unrealistic expectations of life. We imagine that the good life would surely be one without any significant difficulty, and so we hasten as quickly as possible through periods of struggle. Taking it for granted that a person should “retire” as soon as possible, we are eager to get past our obstacles and reap the rewards of our work. But we’re not wise if we put such an emphasis on our destination that we fail to appreciate the journey itself. “The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge to life, and the promise of future accomplishments” (Flaubert). In the spiritual realm, this is the very outlook that is called “faith.”

When a person turns to God there is often the expectation that all problems will soon disappear and that following the path of obedience will be both easy and pleasant. The reality, of course, is that the journey toward God often takes us through canyons of darkness and difficulty. Especially in the beginning of our spiritual lives, it is often true that things appear to get worse before they begin to get better. Frankly, it is hard to keep from getting impatient. But here is where faith comes in. The principle part of faith is its ability to bear a heavy burden and still keep going. What most of us need to hear every day is what the Hebrew writer said to his doubtful, discouraged readers: “You have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise” (Hebrews 10:36).

Are we there yet?
Every Child’s Question

The True Chrisitans

One Sunday morning during service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter, both covered from head to toe in black and carrying submachine guns. One of the men proclaimed, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where you are." Immediately, the choir fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled.

Out of the 2,000there only remained around 20. The man who had spoken took off his hood,at the preacher and said "Okay Pastor, I got rid of all the hypocrites. Now you may begin your service. Have a nice day!" And the two men turned
and walked out.

He's present in your Cave

"When my spirit grows faint within me,
it is you who knows my way"
Psalm 142:3

Caves are horrible and cold. Damp. Fit for bears and other animals that can withstand the loneliness. David came to a place in his life where he ended up in a cave. David the Giant Killer. David, God's anointed. David the killer of bears and lions. Of whom was said "Saul has slain his thousands, but David his ten thousands". One day he's anointed by Samuel to be king. One day he's invited to play for the present king and to live in the palace. The next he's running for his life.

Yet it is during the "cave experiences" of our lives, during those dark and damp moments when it seems that all hope is lost, that God comes in with strength and power. When we grow weary spiritually, it isn't our friends that will help us back on our way, although we are certainly to rely on one another for strength and comfort. It is not our loved ones that will push us back into a deeper relationship with our Lord. It is God. He is the only One that truly knows the way back into the strength of that relationship.

Once David realized this, God was able to restore him during his cave experience. We know this because when we read the following in 1 Samuel 22 we find David in his cave along with "all those who were in distress or in debt or discontented". And he became their leader. Something wonderful happens when God enables you to grow throughout these experiences of your life: people around you notice. They can't explain how you made it through. They can't figure out how you maintained your composure and strength. The answer is found in one of David's other psalms:

"He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge" (Psalm 144:2).

May this be what shines through and into other people's lives...in the unfailing name of Jesus.

Prayers Can't Be Answered Unless They are Prayed!

Life without purpose is barren indeed
There can't be a harvest unless you plant seed
There can't be attainment unless there's a goal
And man's but a robot unless there's a soul.

If we send no ships out, no ships will come in,
And unless there's a contest, nobody can win.
For games can't be won unless they are played,
And prayers can't be answered unless they are prayed.

So whatever is wrong with your life today
You'll find a solution if you kneel down and pray.
Not just for pleasure, enjoyment and health,
Not just for honors and prestige and wealth.

But pray for a purpose to make life worth living
And pray for the joy of unselfish giving.
For great is your gladness and rich your reward,
When you make your life's purpose
The choice of the Lord.

Do's and Dont's

1. Give God what's right -- not what's left.
2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless hope.
3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
5. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.
6. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.
7. When praying, don't give God instructions -- just report for duty.
8. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.
9. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.
10. When God ordains, He sustains.
11. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
12. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.
13. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
14. Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.
15. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.
16. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
17. He who angers you controls you.
18. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.
19. Give Satan an inch & he'll be a ruler.
20. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Heaven's Grocery Store

As I was walking down life's highway many years ago
I came upon a sign that read Heavens Grocery Store.
When I got a little closer the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket and said "My child shop with care."

Everything a human needed was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry you could come back for more
First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course I would need some of that too.

I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength
and Courage to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.

Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything to do the Masters will.
As I went up the aisle I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel "Now how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said "Just take them everywhere you go."
Again I asked "Really now, How much do I owe?"
"My child" he said, "God paid your bill a long long time ago."

Funny Isn't it?

Funny how 100 bucks "looks" so big when you take it to
church, but so small when you take it to the mall.

Funny how long it takes to serve God for an hour, but how
quickly a team plays 60 minutes of basketball.

Funny how long a couple of hours spent at church are, but
how short they are when watching a movie.

Funny how we can't think of anything to say when we pray,
but don't have difficulty thinking of things to talk about
to a friend.

Funny how we get thrilled when a football game goes into
extra time, but we complain when a sermon is longer than the
regular time.

Funny how hard it is to read a chapter in the Bible, but how
easy it is to read 100 pages of a best selling novel.

Funny how people want to get a front seat at any game or
concert, but scramble to get a back seat at church services.

Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks advance notice to fit a
church event into our schedule, but can adjust our schedule
for other events at the last moment.

Funny how hard it is for people to learn a simple gospel
well enough to tell others, but how simple it is for the
same people to understand and repeat gossip.

Funny how we believe what the newspaper says, but question
what the Bible says.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do
not have to believe, or think, or say, or do anything.

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and
they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending
messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about
sharing.

FUNNY, ISN'T IT ? Are you laughing? Are you thinking? Spread
the Word and give thanks to the Lord for He is good!

100 Points

A man dies and goes to heaven. Of course, St. Peter meets him at the pearly gates. St. Peter says, "Here's how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in."

"Okay," the man says, "I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never heated on her, even in my heart."

"That's wonderful," says St. Peter, "that's worth three points!"
"Three points?" he says. "Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and service."

"Terrific!" says St. Peter, "that's certainly worth a point." "One point? Golly. How about this: I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans."

"Fantastic, that's good for two more points," he says. "TWO POINTS!!" the man cries, "At this rate the only way I get into heaven is by the grace of God!"

"That's right!, Now you have got it!" said St. Peter.

For it is by Grace you have been saved, through Faith -- and this not from ourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast.Ephesians 2:8-9)

If, Because & Inspite LOVE

When someone says "I love you" it could mean many different things. Here are three different kinds of love.

First kind of love: "IF" Love
The "IF kind of love" says, "I will love you IF you do things my way, IF you give me gifts, IF you become a good provider, IF you get a good report card at school." It is a conditional love based upon future expectations. If these conditions are not met, then like a legal contract, love is broken. This is a selfish love because it is solely based upon future expectations. It is love that must be earned. Most marriages fail because they are based upon this conditional love. Children are often heard saying, "I will be your friend" IF you let me play with your new toy; till then I hate you. Thus the IF kind of love is a fickle unstable love. This is the childish love we are all born with. It is a worldly love of natural instincts. We need to mature out of the IF kind of love!

Second kind of love: "BECAUSE" Love
The "because of" kind of love says, "I will love you BECAUSE you are now young and beautiful, BECAUSE I now desire you, BECAUSE you are now popular, BECAUSE you are now in good health or wealthy, BECAUSE I feel good when I am with you." This kind of love is common among teenagers because it is solely based upon the others current status. The BECAUSE OF kind of love is also doomed to failure in marriage. When someone proclaims, "I have fallen out of love" they have fallen out of the "because of" kind of love, not true love. This kind of love is not in tune with reality when it demands that things stay the same in an ever changing world. Like the If kind of love, it is unstable and fickle. It is full of doubts and fears for what tomorrow might bring.

Third Kind of Love: True Love: "INSPITE"LOVE
True love is the "in spite of kind of love". It says, "I love you IN SPITE OF your faults, IN SPITE OF being fat and ugly, IN SPITE OF the times you are selfish and inconsiderate, IN SPITE OF when you sin against me," True love is unconditional. It is the love that God loves us with. It is a love we don't naturally possess but must learn. It is an enduring love that doesn't even keep a score card. It will always be there tomorrow regardless of what we have done today. This is the kind of love that 50th "golden" anniversaries are made of. Romans 5:6-8 says, "For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the very good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Notice the contrast between conditional and unconditional love in this verse. Christ didn't die for us BECAUSE we were very good and worth dying for. Rather He died for us in SPITE OF the fact we were worthless sinners. Oh "to know the love of Christ which surpasses comprehension," Ephesians 3:19.

Marble Statue & Marble Tile

There was this museum laid with beautiful marble tiles, with a huge marble statue displayed in the middle of the lobby. Many people came from all over the world just to admire this beautiful marble statue. One night, the marble tiles started talking to the marble statue.

Marble tile: Marble statue, it's just not fair, it's just not fair! Why does everybody from all over the world come all the way here just to step on me while admiring you ? Not fair!

Marble statue: My dear friend, marble tile. Do you still remember that we were actually from the same cave?

Marble tile: Yeah! That's why I feel it is even more unfair. We were born from the same cave and yet we receive different treatment now. Not fair!"

Marble statue: Then, do you still remember the day when the designer tried to work on you, but you resisted the tools ?

Marble tile: Yes, of course I remember. I hate that guy ! How could he use those tools on me, it hurt so badly.

Marble statue: That's right! He couldn't work on you at all as you resisted being worked on.

Marble tile: So???

Marble statue: When he decided to give up on you and start working on me instead, I knew at once that I would be something different after his efforts. I did not resist his tools, instead I bore all the painful tools he used on me.

Marble tile: Mmmmmm.......

Marble statue: My friend, there is a price to everything in life. Since you decided to give up half way, you can't blame anybody who steps on you now."

The moral of the story is : The more hard knocks you go through in life, the more you'll learn and put them to use in the future !! Do not be discouraged by setbacks and failures. Past is past, you can't change it but it is actually a blessing in disguise. Past was good, Present is better and the future will always be the best.

The trials of a teacup

I haven't always been a teacup. There was a time in my
life when I was just a lump of clay. Then my Master
took me and began to pat and mold and shape me. It was
very painful and I begged Him to stop, but He only
smiled and said, "Not yet!"

Then He placed me on a spinning wheel and I went
'round and 'round. I got so sick I thought I wasn't
going to make it, but then He finally let me off. Just
as I thought I was going to be all right, my Master
put me in an oven. I've never understood why He wanted
to burn me; I yelled and begged for Him to stop, to
let me out. I could see dimly through the glass in the
oven door, but He only smiled, shook His head and
said, "Not yet!"

Finally He came and took me out. "Oh, that sure feels
better," I said to myself. Then all of the sudden, my
Master picked me up and started sanding and brushing
me. Then He took a paintbrush and started painting
colors all over me. The fumes were so strong I thought
I was going to pass out. I pleaded with Him to stop,
but He continued to smile and said, "Not yet!"
Then He placed me in another oven. This one was twice
as hot as the first. I knew that I would suffocate. I
begged, I pleaded, I cried, but He still only smiled
and said,"Not yet!"

I began to feel there was no hope. I would never make
it. I couldn't take any more. It was all over for me.
I decided to give it all up. Then the door swung open
and Master said, "Now!"
He lifted me up and He placed me on a shelf to rest.
Later He came to me with a mirror and told me to look.
As I looked at myself, I could not believe my eyes. I
said, "Oh my, what a beautiful teacup."

Then the Master explained: "I want you to understand
that I knew it hurt when I patted and molded you. I
knew the spinning wheel made you sick. But if I had
left you alone, you would have dried up and always
have been just a lump of clay. You would not have had
any personality in your life.

"I knew it was hot when I put you in the first oven,
but if I hadn't, you would just have crumbled.
"I knew it really bothered you to be brushed and
painted, but if I hadn't, you would not have had any
color in your life.

"Oh, how I knew the second oven was hard for you! But
you see, if I had not put you there, you would not
have been able to stand the pressures of life. Your
strength would not have lasted, so you would not have
survived for very long .

"So you see, when you thought it was all so very hard,
I still had you in My care. I knew all along what you
would be today. I had the finished product in mind
from the day I first touched you!" --Author unknown

"But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay,
and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your
hand" (Isaiah 64:8 NKJ).
"Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and
not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ).

Tax-Exempt Investments

A tax Assessor came one day to a poor Minister of the
gospel to determine the amount of taxes the minister
would pay.
"What property do you possess?" asked the assessor.
"I am very wealthy," replied the minister.
"List your possessions, please," the assessor
instructed. The minister replied:

"First, I have everlasting life (John 3: 16).
"Second, I have a mansion in heaven (John 14: 2).
"Third, I have peace that 'passeth all understanding'
(Phil 4: 7).
"Fourth, I have joy unspeakable (1 Peter 1: 8).
"Fifth, I have divine love that never faileth (1 Cor
13: 8).
"Sixth, I have a faithful, pious wife (Prov 31: 24).
"Seventh, I have healthy happy obedient children (Ex
20: 12).
"Eighth, I have true, loyal friends (Prov 18: 24).
"Ninth, I have songs in the night (Ps 42: 8).
"Tenth, I have a crown of life (James 1: 12)

The tax assessor closed his book and said, " truly you
are a very rich man,
But your property is not subject to taxation."

The 7 Ups

1 . Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a
smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve
your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man
looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance;
but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He
must have meant
for us to do twice as much listening as
talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for
anything.
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the
proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do
good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!...
To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who
strengthens me".
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT
EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

Man of Contrasts

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!-Matthew 21:9

On that first Palm Sunday, one might have expectedJesus the King to enter Jerusalem on a mighty steed. But He chose instead a lowly donkey. Before He could come as a King to reign, He had tocome as a Savior to die.Throughout His life on earth, Jesus was a man ofstriking contrasts -reflecting bothHis genuine humanity and His full deity.

Someone once wrote this about Jesus:
"He who is the Bread of Life began His ministryhungering.
He who is the Water of Life ended His ministrythirsting.
Christ hungered as a man, yet fed thehungry as God.
He was weary, yet He is our rest.
He paid tribute, yet He is the King.
He was called a devil, but He cast out demons.
He prayed, yet He hears prayer.
He wept, and He dries our tears.
He was sold for 30 pieces of silver, yet He redeems sinners.
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, yet He is theGood Shepherd.
He gave His life, and by dying He destroyed death.

"We would expect to find such contrasts in the life ofOne who was fully God and fully man. Jesus, who is thesovereign Lord of the universe, became a man toprovide for our redemption. But one day He will returnas King of kings. All glory to Jesus, begotten of God,The great I AM is He;Creator, sustainer -but wonder ofall,The Lamb of Calvary. The lowly carpenter of Nazareth was the mightyarchitect of the universe.

The Will of God

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you,
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the Spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

“Everything happens for a purpose. We may not see thewisdom of it all now but trust and believe in the Lordthat everything is for the best ”God is good all the time...all the time God is good!!!
